• As Interim Managing Director, based in Germany, focused a wind turbine maker on recovery of business reputation and closing out major historical problem contracts. Business again became acceptable in the market.
• As Interim Managing Director, managed a near start up business developing tidal turbine technology, through transition to subsidiary of a premier UK engineering group directly drove commercial management and maintained momentum for technology development.
• As Interim Manager, managed the recovery of a dilapidated 45MW wind farm located in Austria for a UK industrial plc, very hands on role including technical, commercial and operational management, availability raised from 65% to over 90% in 6 months.
• As Interim Projects Director, developed the international roll out for composite blade production (in Australia) for a major Danish wind turbine producer including land and labour sourcing, supply chain and technology transfer.
• As Interim Commercial Manager, for a highly specialist nuclear power equipment contractor developed and negotiated GBP 300K claim for nuclear crane contract , negotiated with principal contractor, settled all small subcontracts.
• As Interim Unit Manager, developed and implemented a practical strategy to merge the business with others (to ensure commercial viability) whilst recovering and developing the business unit. Unit produced energy trading software, and is part of a major French electrical power group.
• As Interim Manufacturing Director, developed (Toyota based) production concept for wind turbine nacelle and hub assembly for a German/American wind turbine producer, completed preparatory site development and supply chain for US and Indian operations.
• As Interim International Projects Director/Interim Technical Director based in China working alongside a German design authority, developed the complete assembly concept from prototype to volume production for new 2MW class turbine. Developed layout, tooling and support services. Introduced basic project management tools to progress myriad actions. Hands on management of all factory operations for first of type completion into test phase.
